Sasakti Shiva Navakam - Nine Stanzas Extolling The Power Of Shiva
Translated by P. R. Ramachander This prayer asks God for several capabilities. The manthraksharas Iym and Kleem
are used to worship Shiva. Devotees interested in any one wish can
repeat that Stanza. Veda shastras purane ithihasa kavya kaladishu, Give me clear understanding, Chathurdasasu vidhyasu, chathu shashti kalau cha, In the fourteen types of education, Meemsayaam samasthatam, sabdha sasthre viseshatha, In all the aspects of analysis of knowledge, Ganitheshu cha sarvagna, dehi mey parameshwara, Make me all knowing in mathematics, Sakleshwapi kavyeshu, sakalsu kadhasu cha, Make me loquacious of literary excellence, Hrudayamboruhe nithyam vasa mey Jagadheeswara, Oh, God of all universe, Janmanthara krutham paapam budher jadyakaram Shiva, Please destroy all my sins, Oh Shiva, Vishayeshu viraktheem cha vivideshu videhi mey, Please develop in me detachment, Mukthi marga param chitham kuru, mey Jagadeeshwara, Hey Lord of the universe, Ithyethad navakam nithyam bhakthitho ya paden nara, He who recites these nine stanzas,
